White House Confirms Discovery of Classified Papers Found at Biden’s House
White House attorney, Richard Sauber, finds additional classified documents amid investigation of former President Joe Biden
The US Attorney General, Merrick Garland, announced the appointment of a special prosecutor last Tuesday to investigate the recent discovery of classified documents belonging to former President Joe Biden.
On Thursday, White House attorney, Richard Sauber, conducted a search of Biden’s Delaware mansion, finding five additional pages with classification marks. Sauber was accompanied by Justice Department officials, who seized the documents immediately.
The investigation was prompted by the previous discovery of a document with a classified mark in an adjacent room to the garage. Biden’s personal attorneys, who did not have the security clearance necessary, had already ceased the search.
The incident brings with it parallels to the case against former President, Donald Trump. Last week, Biden publicly assured that the issue would be resolved.
The special prosecutor and Justice Department will continue to assess all discovered documents to ensure their safety and compliance with the law.
