South African rapper Costa Titch died during a concert on Saturday 11 March, prompting a police investigation. Tributes poured in on social media for the 27-year-old, also known as Costa Tsobanoglou. Titch shot to fame following the 45 million views on YouTube for his amapiano track “Big Flexa,” a hip-house music genre with its roots in South African townships. A month earlier, rival rapper Kiernan Forbes, better known as “AKA,” had been shot at a restaurant. Titch collapsed on stage twice during the concert and an autopsy has yet to determine the cause of death.
