Wagner Moura’s Next Action Film May Change His Recent Streak of Mediocre Success
Actor Wagner Moura, who gained critical acclaim for his portrayal of Pablo Escobar in Netflix’s Narcos, is joining an elite list of A-list actors for his next action movie, directed by one of the most interesting filmmakers of recent years – Alex Garland.
Moura was born in Salvador, Brazil, on June 27, 1976 and developed an assessment for acting as a teenager, which eventually led to him starring in Woman on Top (2000) beside Penelope Cruz, as well as leading Hollywood with the 2013 movie Elysium, featuring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster.
Since his character’s death on Narcos, Moura has sought further success with the release of The Wasp Network (2019), Las Luminous (2022), The Invisible Agent (2022) and through lending his vocal cords to the Big Bad Wolf in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022).
He may have now found it, with his latest venture taking him into a future set United States as part of an action movie ensembled by Cailee Spaeny and Kristen Dunst too.
Netflix’s Wagner Moura also returned to Narcos: Mexico in 2021, memorably directing two episodes. Away from the screen, he has been with journalist and photographer Sandra Delgado since the early 2000s and share three children.
Few other details about the forthcoming film have been released – its release date remains unknown. However, with such a names involved, anticipation is steadily rising.
