In mid-2007, the Venezuelan music scene saw the birth of Para Carrier, a trio from Maracaibo. Their music is a blend of 80s punk, alternative rock, pop, and electronics. In 2009, they released their first studio album, “Solo escúchame,” which quickly made them one of the most notable projects in Venezuela. They won the Nuevas Bandas 2010 festival and went on their first national tour.
The trio, consisting of David Montiel, Jesús Portillo, and Carlos Rodríguez, continued to build on their success. A year later, they released their second material, “Sin ciudad,” an EP that showcased their artistic growth and experimentation with new sounds. This led them to break international barriers and tour abroad for the first time.
Upon returning to Venezuela, they began working on their third studio album, “What we had to live,” which was released in 2014. This album chronicled the trio’s journey through memorable moments and challenges, showcasing their growth and experience.
In 2022, after more than 15 years in the music industry, Para Carrier achieved a significant milestone by opening for Liam Gallagher’s show at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires. This performance gave them greater visibility and a wider audience in Argentina.
The band members have since relocated to Buenos Aires, where they created their fourth and final LP, “Adorado.” Released in February of last year, this album demonstrates their constant evolution and commitment to musical authenticity. Their music can be found on streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal.
