Vanderpump Rules’ Ariana Madix Shares Details on New Sandwich Shop
Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix has revealed new information about her upcoming sandwich shop, Something About Her, that she plans to open with her friend and co-star Katie Maloney in West Hollywood. The restaurant, located steps away from TomTom and Pump, is set to open this summer.
While preparing for the opening, Ariana spent some time working at Raising Cane’s Restaurant in El Segundo in Los Angeles, brushing up on her customer service skills during a PR gig. She was paid to serve diners chicken tenders, fries, and their special sauce in the store and at the drive-thru as she got to grips with the menu and wearing a headset.
Behind the Counter
According to Ariana, being behind the counter wasn’t easy for her. “The hardest thing about working today was when orders are coming and I’m not going fast enough,” she laughed. “If you start getting stressed out, it just makes it worse.” However, she did mention that she was a natural at it since she worked in the service industry at Lisa’s eatery Sur for many years.
The Ventured Shop
Speaking about her and Katie’s new venture, Ariana said, “The idea for Something About Her was sparked by my business partner and friend Katie Maloney, who had this dream of opening a sandwich shop, and honestly, I thought it sounded like a lot of fun and a really good idea, and I’m really excited about it.”
A large white bench, a countertop, and a refrigerator have already been installed in the shop with plans laid out on a round table in the center of the room. According to the property’s listing, the location boasts approximately 740 square feet. The feminine branding for Something About Her has already been revealed, along with an online store selling merchandise.
Preparing for the Opening
Workers from Vision Scenery LA were seen coming and going from the property last week, and piles of materials and tools were situated on the patio as the team got to work. Ariana and Katie have been planning to open their shop for more than a year, and the excitement is building up as their plans are almost coming to fruition.
Ariana thanks her fans, friends, and family for their unwavering support while going through a tough time in her life. She advised people going through similar situations to trust their community, their support system, and lean on those people because that’s what’s helped her the most.
