Tina and Erwin’s Love Story, Part Two
After Tina and Erwin started seeing each other, Tina was upfront with him about her intentions. She let him know that she was not looking for anything serious and that the relationship would only be “just sex”. However, Erwin did not seem to believe it and continued to pursue her.
What made Erwin so special was how different he was from the men Tina had previously been with. He was laid back, comfortable, and unpretentious. It was this ease that drew Tina in and helped her start to fall in love with him.
As their love blossomed, Tina knew it was time to wind up her recording career. In 1999, at the age of 59, Tina made her final album and gave her last performance in 2009. With her long music career coming to an end, Tina was ready to focus on her relationship with Erwin.
Together, the couple faced their fair share of challenges, including Erwin’s battle with kidney disease and Tina’s struggles with PTSD from her abusive marriage to Ike Turner. But they remained committed to each other and their love only grew stronger.
Today, Tina and Erwin are happily married and living in Switzerland. Their love story serves as a reminder that true love can come at any time and any age, and it’s never too late to find happiness with someone special.
