The Mesa Police Department in Arizona has released a description of a suspect who attempted to sexually abuse a minor last weekend. The incident occurred on the 300 block of N. 75th Street, and the suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The victim provided a detailed description of the suspect, who is described as an African-American man between 25 and 40 years old, standing 5ft 10ins tall, and of medium build. He has a long beard and dark, spiky hair, and was seen wearing a black hoodie with a white logo and dark pants. Anyone with information is urged to call 480-644-2211. The Mesa Police Department and Mesa Crime Lab are working to apprehend the suspect and are asking the community to lock all doors and windows at home and turn on exterior lights.
In a single hour, agents from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) seized hundreds of pounds of drugs in southern Arizona on January 18, 2024. The first seizure was approximately 459 pounds of methamphetamine, followed by 148 pounds of fentanyl pills, and 2.55 pounds of cocaine. These seizures were made during three different traffic stops, resulting in the arrest of six suspects on felony drug charges. Further investigation revealed that the drugs were being transported from southern Arizona to Phoenix. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $1,285,000.
