Suspect Sought for Alleged Child Luring in Round Lake

The Round Lake Police Department is currently investigating a man who is believed to have been trying to lure children in the Round Lake area. The man is described as Hispanic or Asian and is traveling in a Toyota Sienna Gray XLE Hybrid, with a possible 2021-2024 model year. He allegedly attempted to convince children to go with him with suspicious intentions.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic/Asian male, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a slim build, little facial hair, and short hair. He was last seen wearing a dark or black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect allegedly spoke with a slight Spanish-sounding accent.

The Round Lake Police Department has increased patrols and officers in the area where the incidents occurred, particularly during school bus pickup times. The two attempts to lure children took place in the 30 block of MacGillis Drive between Whispering Oaks Lane and Treehouse Lane before 7 a.m.
