Silvia Rosa Peña, a 39-year-old mother of Guatemalan descent, is currently receiving palliative care in Georgia as she is in the terminal phase of cancer she has been battling for the past 7 years. Silvia has two children, aged 12 and 18, and is currently in hospice care. Her eldest son, David, traveled from Guatemala to be with his mother and sister during this difficult time. He describes his mother as a strong and positive woman who has always been grateful to God for everything.
Silvia’s friends have been a great source of support for her and her family. They have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to help with expenses, as David is unable to work while taking care of everything. Silvia’s friends and family are doing everything they can to support her during this challenging time.
