As predicted, the weekend has arrived with great weather for all the festivities happening in the Bay Area. In San Francisco, we can expect a dry and pleasant day for the Super Bowl events and the Chinese New Year 2024. Maximum temperatures are forecast in the 60s not only for San Francisco, but almost throughout the region.
The morning will start off almost freezing in most cities, with minimum temperatures around 60 degrees. However, as the day progresses, we will see the mercury rise to warmer temperatures compared to previous days. This contrast in temperatures and the dry, sunny conditions are due to the passage of a high pressure system, giving us a beautiful panorama for both Saturday and Sunday.
Many people are already coming to San Francisco to support the local team, the San Francisco 49ers. The good news is that umbrellas will not be necessary, but coats will be. On Sunday, we can expect cold temperatures in the morning, but that won’t stop fans from attending watch parties, barbecues, events, restaurants, and bars to watch the long-awaited Super Bowl. High temperatures will continue to be forecast in the high 50s to low 60s. There may be some cloud cover in some cities, but it will only provide a break from the sun rays.
It’s important to remember to use sunscreen and drink plenty of water to protect against the effects of a sunny, clear day. Starting Monday, clouds will start to enter the region, but it won’t be until at least Thursday when rain is forecast to arrive again in the Bay Area. Details about the upcoming storms are unclear, but there is high confidence that they will return by next weekend, just in time for Presidents’ Day.
Take advantage and enjoy these dry, sunny, and pleasant days before instability returns. Make the most of the good weather before the rains come back.
