Shakira’s “BZRP Music Session #53” causes Boom activity in Google searches

In the week of January 9 to 13 of the year 2023, according to the Google search engine, Colombia was the fourth country with the highest searches related to Shakira. The 45-year-old artist’s latest track; “BZRP Music Session #53”, a song full of poisoned darts aimed at her ex-partner, former soccer player Gerard Piqué, was the most streamed on Spotify, and the interest extended beyond the song.

The most searched questions related to Shakira in the past week in Colombia was “What is the name of Piqué’s girlfriend?”, with the second and third place taken by brands such as Twingo and Casio, respectively. The artist mentions Twingo and Casio in her song “You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo”; “You traded a Rolex for a Casio”.

The artist announced the new song last Wednesday on social networks under the promotional phrase “A wolf like me is not for guys like you”, which was also announced by the Argentine producer Bizarrap who has worked with other Latin American artists such as Nicky Jam, Nathy Peluso, and Residente.

The report by Google search engine, revealed that other searches had to do with the artist’s new single, age, amount of money, the name of Piqué’s girlfriend, and the Colombian’s nationality.

The Spanish singer from Barranquilla lived in Spain for almost 12 years and has made a remarkable impact with this limited edition collection. The popularity extended to other countries such as Spain (1st), Uruguay (2nd), Paraguay (3rd) and Argentina (5th).
