Scotland’s Grant Gilchrist has been suspended from the Six Nations Tournament for the rest of the competition, following his expulsion against France on March 3. Gilchrist, the Scottish second row, was given a three-week suspension, which means he will not play in the team’s upcoming games against Ireland on March 12 and Italy on March 18. Gilchrist received a red card at the start of Scotland’s match against France, which the Blues won 32-21. He was penalized for a shoulder blow to Anthony Jelonch’s face, which led to Jelonch being taken out of the game injured. Jelonch was subsequently diagnosed with a knee injury, with a rupture of the cruciate ligaments being the cause.
