Russia Launches Missile Strikes on Ukrainian Cities Kiev, Zaporiyia and Kharkov
**Explosions heard in cities of Ukraine as Russian Missile Attack Hits Infrastructure Facilities**
An alarming series of explosions were heard in the cities of Kyiv, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv as a Russian missile attack hit infrastructure facilities in Kyiv this Saturday morning (01.14.2023). Residents of Kyiv heard anti-aircraft alarms and explosions while authorities urged people to remain safe in a shelter for the duration of the air alarm.
The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko confirmed explosions in the Dniprovsky district and the fall of debris from a missile in the Holosiivskyi district, leaving no one injured. He also asked the public not to ignore the alarms.
Deputy Head of the President’s Office reported the impact of a missile on a residential building in town of Kopyliv, in the Kyiv region.
In addition, several explosions were reported in the city of Zaporizhia, according to the secretary of the mayor’s office, Anatoli Kurtev.
In Kharkiv, two S-300 missiles were reported to have landed in the city’s industrial district.
Russia has been attacking Ukrainian strategic infrastructure, as well as residential areas since October 2022.
The data on victims is yet being clarified and authorities are urging people to remain safe in a shelter for the duration of the air alarm.
