
The CW Announces Premiere Date for Riverdale Season 7, an Archie Comics Based-Suspenes Drama with a 1950’s Setting
The CW has anounced the premiere date for the seventh and final installment of the Archie Comics-based suspense drama, Riverdale. The seventh season will be set in the 1950s with Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) coming of age, Reggie Mantle (Charles Melton) a country basketball star and Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) the “queen bee”.
Season 7 of Riverdale will be available from Wednesday, March 29, 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by one episode of The Flash. Meanwhile, Nancy Drew, airing an hour earlier between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm ET/PT, will conclude alongside the final episode of Riverdale season 7 on Wednesday, August 23.
The characters’ storylines of the next season will reveal Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) stuck in the 1950s, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) a classic American teenager coming of age, Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) questioning her perfect life, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) as a Hollywood star and Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) an activist fighting for the black students of Riverdale High.
Meanwhile, Brad Schwartz, president of entertainment for The CW Network said “RIVERDALE and NANCY DREW are two beloved CW series with some of the most passionate and dedicated fans on all of television, and these past few seasons are true gifts to them,”
Until then, fans can still prepare and catch up with the series seasons in streaming platform Netflix.
