**Daisy Ridley Open to Receiving a Call to Return to Star Wars Universe**
Boldly reflecting on her role as Rey Skywalker marking the close of the galaxy far far away in 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, Daisy Ridley has opened up the possibility of a return to the Star Wars universe. In an interview with IMDb during Sundance’s Acura Festival Village, the actress shared “I’m open to receiving a phone call, I’m looking for a job”.
In another interview with Rolling Stone, Ridley also addressed one of the more controversial disputes in fandom with regards to Rey’s lineage. She concluded that “You can be a heroine without coming from nowhere or becoming a descendant, literally, of the worst person in the universe. You are not your parents or your grandparents, you are not your lineage.”
Although it has been three years since we last saw Rey in the films, we have not been absent of the heroine. In a six-year-old Rey is featured in the novel Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith, while in Star Wars: Resistance Reborn, a novel set against The Last Jedi, she reunited with Leia and the rest of the heroes as a part of the Resistance. Daisy Ridley’s Rey also appears in some canon comics as well.
Ultimately, Daisy Ridley has left a possibility open to return to the Star Wars universe in some way, even if it may not be a starring spot. With plenty of projects in development for the massive franchise, time remains for a reunion of epic proportions.
