Today, Nacho Fernández shared on social media that he had the pleasure of meeting María, a young girl who is battling cancer. He expressed his hope that her smile will go far and help advance cancer research. The Real Madrid captain invited María to visit the sports city, which was a heartwarming gesture that was praised by bullfighter Gonzalo Caballero.

Gonzalo Caballero also announced a solidarity triptych to raise funds for “The Smile of Mary,” in support of Biomedical Research at the Niño Jesús Children’s Hospital in Madrid. The triptych includes a Solidarity Gala, a charity bullfight, and a concert. The focus of the initiative is on María, a 7-year-old girl who has been fighting Erwing’s Sarcoma for four years.

The Solidarity Gala, scheduled for February 22 at the Wellington Hotel in Madrid, will feature a charity dinner and the presentation of the poster for the charity bullfight. The bullfight, which will take place on March 23 in Las Rozas, will have Gonzalo as the main figure. Ticket sales for the bullfight will also support childhood cancer research.

In addition to the bullfight, a concert has been planned on the same day in Las Rozas with the participation of artists from the Spanish music scene. The shirt signed by the entire Real Madrid team will be raffled off, along with other prestigious and significant elements, to raise funds for María’s cause.

The involvement of Real Madrid players, including Militao, Courtois, Valverde, and Raúl, has been crucial in showing their support and love for María. The goal of the initiative is to raise as much money as possible to support childhood cancer research and help María in her battle against cancer.
