Google Stadia Closes Doors, Detailed ‘Thank You’ Gift Given To Red Dead Online Player
Google Stadia services announced its closure on January 18, leaving gamers and enthusiasts with a feeling of disappointment. With this closure, Red Dead Online, the multiplayer component of Rockstar’s open-world adventure title, will be terminated from the service, leaving players like ItsColourTV bereft of their progress.
Rockstar Games, in a generous gesture, surprised ItsColourTV by sending him a gift from the company which contained a variety of objects including bags, keychains, t-shirts, and pins with the Red Dead Redemption 2 logo. ItsColourTV acknowledged his surprise in a streaming video showing the gift he received from Rockstar Games as a thank you for clocking more than 6,000 hours in Red Dead Online.
Although Red Dead Online will no longer be available on Stadia, fans can still enjoy the game on other platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Rockstar Games had recently announced their intention to focus efforts onGrand Theft Auto VI, resulting in no major updates for Red Dead Redemption 2.
Google Stadia has refunded the players for their investments in the service.
