Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the highly anticipated sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and promises to be an even bigger and more immersive experience. From the five hours I’ve spent playing, I can already tell that Respawn has managed to address many of the issues I had with the first game.
Koboh, the gigantic open planet that serves as Cal’s home throughout the Jedi Survivor storyline, is the biggest change from Fallen Order and it’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into making it a joy to explore. There are hidden caves, camps and Jedi Chambers to discover, as well as skill points and cosmetic rewards to be found in treasure chests. The planet is huge but the map features make it easy to navigate, and you can even tame beasts to use as mounts.
The second zone I played in was a moon planet that Cal and Bode visit later in the game. This level was more traditional, but still had plenty of surprises hidden off the beaten path, including a DMC-like challenge room. Puzzle rooms, new Force powers and exciting story moments await the player in this game, and all of it is sure to be an enjoyable experience.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor looks to be a spectacular game, and I can’t wait to see what else it has in store when it releases on April 28.
