Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe Share Close Relationship – An Inside Look at Outlander
Veteran actors of Outlander, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, have been working together since 2014 and have since become fan-favorites for their incredible prowess in portraying the characters of Jamie and Claire Fraser.
In a recent interview, Heughan candidly revealed that he and Balfe share a very close relationship despite not being together in real life. Heughan stated, “We’re like this couple who, in a way, they’ve grown together.”
Heughan, whose real-life relationship is a well-guarded secret, quickly clarified that, “although it is publicly known that there is no real connection between the two actors and their private lives are going another way.” He also gushed about how it has been an incredible experience to portray Jamie Fraser for almost a decade.
“Absolutely, we were very green and we really didn’t know where this was going to go,” he said. “It will be a decade by the time we finish next season. So ten years together, we’re like this… I don’t know, there’s a great friendship that we have.”
Outlander is set to come to a finale soon and as fans gear up to say goodbye, Heughan and Balfe’s onscreen chemistry and off-screen friendship will always be remembered.
