Astoria Shootout Leaves A 21-Year-Old Injured
On the evening of Wednesday, May 25th, 2023, a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg outside the NYCHA Astoria Houses in Queens. The victim was said to be standing outside the housing project when the incident occurred around 6:27 p.m.
Police officers report that the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and is currently in stable condition and expected to survive his injuries. However, there is no information currently available on a possible motive for the shooting.
As of now, there have been no arrests made and investigations surrounding the incident are ongoing.
