Shazam 2 Reveals an Overwhelming Trailer Ahead of its March 2023 Theatrical Release

The frenzy surrounding the next Warner Bros. and DC installment “Shazam 2: The Fury of the Gods” continues as a new trailer of the film has been released. Directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi as the titular hero, the movie looks to bring a darker and more intense plot than the first instalment.

The plot revolves around Billy Batson and his foster family and their battle against Old God’s seeking vengeance. A synopsis to the movie reads, “‘Billy, aka Shazam, and his family find themselves embroiled in a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world'”.

The trailer shows off a lot of intense action sequences and scenes while hinting at an interesting plot. Befitting the title, the movie looks to be much more focused on a direct confrontation between the protagonist and Calipso. It also features a huge dragon of massive power.

The cast includes actors like Helen Mirren, Grace Currey, Lucy Liu, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, and Rachel Zegler among many others.

Fans can look forward to finally seeing Shazam 2 on the big screen from March 17, 2023.
