MyFrenchFilmFestival: Enjoy French and Francophone Films from Home

MyFrenchFilmFestival: a showcase of French cinema in the best international platforms

The festival MyFrenchFilmFestival begins today, an ideal opportunity to enjoy the best French and Francophone production of recent times. The festival, which will last until 13th of February, brings together various works in two categories: feature films and short films.

The proposed program is wide and impressive, covering different genres and themes. From the recently deceased Jean-Luc Godard to Claire Denis and without forgetting directors such as Romain Gavras, François Truffaut, Bertrand Bonello or Mia Hansen-Love.

The importance of parity in MyFrenchFilmFestival is remarkable, since of the 29 feature films, 16 are directed by a woman or by a team that includes women. Among the works presented there are some unpublished titles and it is noteworthy that the first ten films are counted, for example the fantastic documentary We Stand Out by Alice Diop, winner of the Giraldillo de Oro at the last Seville European Film Festival. Blood Oranges, I Don’t Give a Damn and A Story of Love and Desire are some other titles.

In addition, all of the films and short films that are part of the festival will have subtitles in twelve languages: German, English, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and, for the first time, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese and Ukrainian.

Thanks to the collaboration between the Instituts français network and more than 70 different VOD platforms, all the works of MyFrenchFilmFestival can be enjoyed by people around the world. The short films are free and the feature films have a rental cost of 1.99 euros. The festival also offers an access package of 7.99 euros that includes the whole catalog.
