Russia protests against US President Joe Biden’s remarks of providing heavy tanks to Ukraine

The Kremlin declared today that they see the Atlantic Alliance and the Western countries’ decision to supply heavy tanks to Ukraine as a direct participation in the conflict. They believe that instead of fighting for freedom, this move is a misuse of power to further escalate the situation.

Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov at the daily press conference said, “We categorically disagree with that” in reference to US President Joe Biden statement regarding the tanks as a fight for freedom.

Ukraine President Volodímir Zelenski raised concerns regarding the effectiveness of the tanks and further stressed on the need for speedy delivery of the tanks. He said, “The key now is speed and volume. The speed of training our army, the speed of supplying tanks to Ukraine. The volume of tank support”.

In response, the Kremlin has pledged to take its own measures that would act as a counterforce to what it dubbed as the misuse of power by the US. The details of these measures have not been made clear yet.
