Man United Start League Cup Quarterfinals on Matchday

On Tuesday, Manchester United will kick off the quarterfinal stage of the English League Cup with a highly anticipated home match against third-tier Charlton. A win for United will help set them up for a Manchester derby against City in the premier league this weekend.

In Italy, Inter Milan will be without Romelu Lukaku as they kick off the defense of their Italian Cup title against second division side Parma. Lukaku is currently sidelined with knee injury and the Nerazzurri are hoping to build on their 2-2 draw with Serie A leaders Napoli. Their opponents Parma have managed one win in their past six matches.

Inter Milan have an impressive track record in the Italian cup, having won it eight times, while Parma have won it three times, the latest of which was in 2002.

The English and Italian cups offer teams a platform to boost morale and build confidence while making important strides towards achieving success in their respective leagues.
