A man with a gun and a knife opened fire outside the Accord Arena in Paris after being denied access to Laura Pausini’s concert. The French security forces arrested the man, who fired at least 17 times near the venue. The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was rejected at the VIP entrances and then headed towards an emergency exit about a hundred meters away. He repeatedly fired at a glass door before the guards managed to disarm him. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
The man was also carrying a knife and shouted incoherent statements related to various topics. Laura Pausini has not commented on the incident, but she expressed gratitude to her French audience on social media. She wrote, “Thank you, Paris. The years go by, love does not.”
