Man arrested for fatally shooting father in Glendale argument

A man was arrested for shooting and killing his father during a domestic dispute in Glendale, Arizona. The shooting took place at a home near 43rd and Northern avenues. The fight between Ruben Longoria, 36, and his father, Richard Longoria, started after they went shopping. The argument escalated into a fight, and Rubén shot his father several times. Rubén claimed that his father threatened to kill him and that he believed his father was carrying a knife. He surrendered to the police without incident and now faces charges of first-degree murder and weapons misconduct. At least six children witnessed the shooting.

Katie Luna Hernández, 24, of Tucson, was arrested on charges of child abuse after authorities found her 4-year-old daughter wandering the city streets alone. The remains of another of her children were found hidden on the property, as well as two other minors in abandoned conditions. The woman pleaded not guilty and the case remains in court.

Jacob De Zeeuw, 27, shot and killed his pregnant wife, Sarah Scott, 37, and his 6-year-old son before taking his own life in Phoenix. The reasons for the murder-suicide are unknown.

Lauren Heike, 29, was found dead near a path called Reach 11, with multiple traumas and at least 15 stab wounds. Zion William Teasley, 22, was arrested as responsible for the crime.

Ulises Alexander García-García, 22, stabbed his father, Arturo García, 49, at least 10 times in Phoenix. Ulises Alexander suffers from schizophrenia and refused to receive treatment. He is awaiting sentencing.

Kevin Holmberg, 41, shot and killed his pregnant wife, Katherine Holmberg, 41, in Chandler. He then took his own life in front of the officers.

Jordin Miranda Castillo, 20, died at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, Ruben Xavier Rocha, 22, in Phoenix. Rocha broke into Castillo’s apartment and shot her after a dispute on social media. He also injured two other people and then fled. He had a restraining order against him for domestic violence.

The body of Bernardo Pantaleón, 30, was found mutilated in a Phoenix park. Four young people were arrested, who later confessed to the crime. Investigations continue while the suspects remain behind bars.

Bryan Fitz, 53, murdered his wife, Sage Fitz, 49, another man, Carmen Buscemi, 62, and his son, Baynen Fitz, 12, as well as the family pet, before taking his own life in Phoenix. The motive appears to be a marital dispute.
