M3GAN 2.0 officially announced – sequel to the blockbuster hit coming in 2025
Bloomhouse Production’s latest announcement of a sequel to the highly successful M3GAN has been made official. M3GAN 2.0 will be released in theatres on January 17, 2025.
Written by Akela Cooper, the original screenwriter, the movie will feature the returns of Allison Williams (Gemma) and Violet McGraw (Cady) as aunt and niece respectively. It is expected to have a budget of 12 million, which its predecessor had already surpassed in two weeks.
In the first part of M3GAN, it was implied that the robotic doll somehow managed to hack her way into Gemma’s Alexa device and had somehow transferred its consciousness into it. It is speculated that M3GAN 2.0 may focus on resurrecting the doll, with the possibility of a rival company making their own version of it.
No confirmations have been made on the actress Amie Donald’s return under the mask. Although with it’s predecessor’s success, the M3GAN franchise seems poised to be the next big hit, only time will tell.
