
Ice-T Unsure Fans with Instagram Post as Law & Order : SVU Comes Closer to Finishing 25th Anniversary Season
For over two decades, Law & Order: SVU has had fans feared at the door. The most recent departure, Kelli Giddish, leaving her role as Amanda Rollins after 12 years on the show, had fans feeling a heavy blow. A recent message from Ice-T has had fans on the edge of their seats and feeling unsure as to the future of Law & Order: SVU.
This past Friday, Ice-T shared a post on Instagram from the set of Law & Order: SVU’s 24th season. With the caption: “SVU behind the scenes of Friday night. Filming my character’s episode FIN… #SVUSeason24,” fans thought Ice-T was sharing a goodbye to his character.
The actor plays Odafin Tutuola, one of the team members who was part of the cast since season 2. Throughout its 24 seasons, Law & Order : SVU has seen various characters come and go. However, Ice-T clarified that he was referring to his characters nickname “Fin” rather than leaving the show. There was collective sigh of relief amongst fans, as the show is entering its 25th anniversary in the fall.
Mariska Hargitay’s Captain Olivia Benson continues to lead the elite group known as the Special Victims Unit. The series has earned a reputation as one of the most credible television shows for depicting crimes of abuse against women, elderly and children.
Despite Ice-T’s message, fans can look forward to more SVU episodes throughout 2021.
