James Gunn Wants to Reunite Chris Pratt and Guardians for DC Project

James Gunn and Chris Pratt likely to join forces once again in Gunn’s new DC Cinematic Universe

After the much-acclaimed success of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, both the film’s main architect James Gunn, and its star Chris Pratt rose to great heights of popularity. Both, who have since become close friends, look set to join forces once again in Gunn’s new DC Cinematic Universe. This was reported by Empire media after speaking to Gunn, who is also in charge of films such as The Suicide Squad for DC.

Gunn, who has several films with repeated actors and actresses under his name, expressed his fondness for the Guardians of the Galaxy cast – Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana and Karen Gillan — and said that he would like to work with them separately in his role as DC’s new head. He said, “This cast is like my family. I can’t express how close I am to them. But I also know that I will be working with all those people individually again. Probably at my other job.”

We will have to check if the cast move from Marvel to DC under the orders of James Gunn, and also who Chris Pratt may play in the DC Cinematic Universe. But prior to that, we’re all looking forward to the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, which will hit theaters on May 5th, 2023.
