Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Confirms Special Guest Stars in Like a Dragon: Ishin

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced today the appearance of six guest stars that will be part of the division cards, a part of the combat system for the video game Like a Dragon: Ishin, released by the game’s Early Access in February 17.

The first two stars chosen are Kenny Omega, wrestling icon and former AEW world champion, and Rahul Kohli, performer known for his work in Netflix’s Midnight Mass and Bly’s Curse. Both will have a special card tied to a specific special attack; Omega’s is called the “Essence of the One-winged Angel”, while Kohli’s is called the “Essence of the Igneous Storm”.

In a press release, both considered themselves fans of Like a Dragon and expressed their honor in being featured in the game as special cards. Hiroyuki Sakamoto, chief producer of the game, said creating the cards was “a very fun and rewarding experience.”

“We work with each of them individually to create their unique and personalized letter, and we allow them to unleash their creativity. We’ve loved the results, and we think the players will love it too,” he explained.

These six special invitation cards will be part of the game’s free additional content and will be available digitally starting February 17th, when Early Access of Like a Dragon: Ishin begins. The game’s Standard Edition is scheduled to be released on February 21 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
