Iran’s regime has issued a warning in response to any attack linked to the deaths of US soldiers in Jordan. The Iranian ambassador to the UN, Amir Saeid Jalil Iravani, stated that any assault against Iranian soil or its interests and nationals outside the country will receive a decisive and strong response. He also rejected claims that Iran and the United States have exchanged messages through intermediaries after the drone attack in which three American soldiers died on Sunday in Jordan.

The United States has claimed responsibility to Iran for the attack, in which 40 people were also injured. US President Joe Biden has stated that he considers Iran responsible for supplying weapons to the people who carried out the attack. The president assured that he has already decided how to respond to the death of the soldiers, although he did not give more details.

Sunday’s attack was claimed by the powerful pro-Iran militia Kataib Hezbollah, which announced that it had suspended its military operations against United States positions in the Middle East. The Resistance Islamic in Iraq, an amalgam of pro-Iranian militias, has carried out more than a hundred attacks against different Washington positions in both Iraq and Syria.

The Iranian regime distanced itself from the attack on Sunday, ensuring that the regional militias that attack American interests do not receive orders from Tehran and appealed to politics to solve the crisis in the Middle East caused by the war in Gaza, where more than 26,000 people have died. Tehran leads the so-called Axis of the Resistance, a loose alliance made up of militant organizations such as Hezbollah, the Houthi rebels, the terrorist group Hamas, the Islamic Jihad and the militias in Iraq, among other groups.

The tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated due to the death of three American soldiers in Jordan. The Iranian regime has warned of a strong response to any attack against its territory or interests. The United States has blamed Iran for supplying weapons to the group responsible for the attack. The situation remains tense as both countries navigate the aftermath of the incident.
