The body of a 10-month-old baby, Zeke Best, was found in the woods of Idaho after his father, Jeremy Albert Best, was spotted walking naked and delirious nearby. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office reported that a hunter called to report a man in a sleeping bag on the side of the road, leading to the discovery of the baby’s body about 24 miles east of Idaho Falls.

Jeremy Albert Best was suspected of killing his wife, Kali Jean Randall, inside their home just hours after he underwent a psychological evaluation. He was apprehended by police after walking through a local general store without any clothes. Surveillance footage showed him bizarrely slouching on the store counter next to the cash register and grabbing a cigarette before being carried out of the building. He was then taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for medical and mental health testing.

After being released from the medical center, Best allegedly returned home to kill his wife and kidnap his child. An Amber Alert was issued naming Best as an “armed and very dangerous homicide and kidnapping suspect.” Best was taken into custody on an arrest warrant issued in connection with Kali Randall’s death.

Best’s black SUV was found down an embankment in the area where he was discovered by hunters. Zeke was pronounced dead at the scene, but police did not disclose where his body was found or identify his manner of death.

This tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning for the loss of the innocent baby. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Zeke Best and Kali Jean Randall. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victims during this difficult time.
