No women made it into the top 100 list of wealthiest athletes in 2023, but American tennis player Coco Gauff was the highest-paid female athlete, earning $22.7 million. The highest-earning driver was Dutchman Max Verstappen, who came in 15th overall with $75 million. Japanese baseball player Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers was the highest-paid baseball player, earning $70 million and ranking 16th overall. Mexican boxer Saul “Canelo” Alvarez was the highest-paid fighter, making $66 million and ranking 17th in the world.
