Help Identify Victims of Chandler Fight

The Chandler police department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the victims of an assault that occurred on April 1, 2023, just south of the city. The incident took place near E. Riggs and S. Val Vista Rds. after a meeting between teenagers turned into a fight. Authorities were called to the scene and witnessed several minors and young adults fleeing on foot and in vehicles. Despite interviewing several people at the scene, no one claimed to be a victim or witness to the fight, leading to the investigation being suspended. However, new video evidence has recently surfaced, showing a large group of young people involved in the fight. The police are now seeking to identify the victims and possible aggressors. Katie Luna Hernandez, 24, of Tucson, was arrested in April 2023 on charges of child abuse after authorities found one of her daughters, only 4 years old, wandering alone through the streets of the city. Upon searching her home, the remains of another of her children were found hidden on the property, as well as two other minors in abandoned conditions. Hernandez pleaded not guilty, and the case is currently in court.

In March, Jacob De Zeeuw, 27, shot and killed his 4-month pregnant wife, Sarah Scott, 37, and his 6-year-old son, Jacob De Zeeuw Jr, before taking his own life in Phoenix. The reasons behind this murder-suicide remain unknown.

The body of Lauren Heike, 29, was found dead near a path called Reach 11 in Phoenix. She had multiple traumas and at least 15 stab wounds. Days after the crime, Zion William Teasley, 22, was arrested as the suspect. He is currently awaiting sentencing.

Arturo García, 49, died at the hands of his son, Ulises Alexander García-García, 22, in Phoenix. Court documents revealed that Ulises had first assaulted his wife and later had a fight with his father, leading to him stabbing his father at least 10 times. Ulises Alexander suffers from schizophrenia and is awaiting sentencing.

Kevin Holmberg, 41, shot and killed his pregnant wife, Katherine Holmberg, 41, in Chandler. He arrived home drunk and after an argument, decided to murder her. When the authorities arrived, he took his own life in front of them.

Jordin Miranda Castillo, 20, died at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, Ruben Xavier Rocha, 22, in Phoenix. Rocha broke into Castillo’s apartment and shot her after a dispute on social media. He also injured two other people before fleeing. He surrendered to the police and it was revealed that the victim had a restraining order against him for domestic violence.

Bernardo Pantaleón, 30, was found mutilated in a Phoenix park. Four young people were arrested and later confessed to the crime. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects remain behind bars.

Bryan Fitz, 53, murdered his wife, Sage Fitz, 49, another man, Carmen Buscemi, 62, and his son, Baynen Fitz, 12, as well as the family pet, before taking his own life in Phoenix. The motive appears to be a marital dispute, in another case of domestic violence that shocked the Valley area.
