Gran Turismo 7 to Offer New Virtual Showroom on PlayStation VR2

Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation VR2 Releasing On February 22

Gran Turismo 7 will introduce a new feature when enabled with PlayStation VR2. When equipped with the new virtual reality headset, gamers will be able to access the full version of the game without restrictions, in addition to other smaller modes specifically dedicated to it.

Traxion.gg, a portal that covers the world of simracing, has reported details of the new mode, referred to as VR Showroom. Here, players are given a set of 11 different scenarios within which they can admire and examine any car in-game in ultra-high detail.

Forza Motorsport had previously incorporated a similar feature, with the help of Microsoft’s Kinect platform. In Gran Turismo 7, however, gamers will be limited to playing with DualSense control only.

The game’s interface has also been adapted to the specific capabilities of the PS VR2. Players will be able to find information like speed and gear ratio and revs directly integrated in the car’s graphical dashboard. Other data, such as radar and weather for instance, will appear in the car’s interior when the player looks towards the right.

Gran Turismo 7 for PSVR2 will be released on February 22, 2023.
