Chrome Incognito Mode To Get Extra Layer Of Security
Google has announced a new feature for its Chrome browser for mobile devices in the form of a biometric authentication that aims to provide an extra layer of security in incognito tabs. According to the company’s official blog, this feature is currently available for users with iPhone whereas Android users will get this feature soon.
This new feature will help Chrome users to secure their data from others. For example, if one opens a tab in incognito mode to plan a surprise weekend getaway for their better half, the other person won’t be able to see it.
The process to activate this feature is fairly simple and straightforward. All you need to do is go to Chrome Settings → Privacy and Security → and activate “Lock incognito tabs when closing Chrome”.
This is a welcome change as it provides users with an extra layer of security and privacy, although one must take care of the fact that this feature is currently only available for iPhone and arriving soon to Android devices.
