France has announced a million euros in aid to Ukrainian athletes in preparation for the Paris-2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. On the one year anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, stated “We want Ukraine to be embodied in the most beautiful way during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.”

The aid will take the form of preparation courses and a Games preparation center that will be established with the Ukrainian teams. Oudéa-Castéra said, “We will identify the best way to make this aid as effective as possible.”

This aid will be a major benefit to Ukrainian athletes as they prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It will give them the opportunity to train and compete at the highest level, and to show the world the best of Ukraine.
