Fallen Order Sequel hit with Delay, Set for April 2021 Release

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Sequel Delayed Until April 28

Electronic Arts announced that their long-awaited sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will not be released on March 17 as originally planned but rather on April 28 for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.

Explaining the unexpected last minute delay in a statement, the studio responsible for Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends said that more time was needed to complete the development of the game successfully.

The statement further detailed that the game is based on fan feedback and features vast new worlds to explore, a more nuanced and ever-evolving combat system and engaging plots featuring characters from Fallen Order, namely Cal Kestis and BD-1. In order to offer the game with the necessary level of polish that the fans deserve, the developers need an additional six weeks of time to finish the game before its release.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set in the time of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and centers on the story of Cal Kestis, taking place ten years after the rise of Palpatine.
