Arsenal Reportedly Interested in Signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have reportedly set their sights on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha for the upcoming summer transfer window. According to 90min, Arsenal is interested in acquiring the former Manchester United player.
Zaha is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, making him an attractive option for the Gunners. Arsenal has reportedly made contact with Zaha’s representatives about a possible move to the Emirates stadium. However, the North London club views Zaha as a potential back-up option if they fail to sign their main targets, which include Raphinha and Ferran Torres.
Despite being 30 years old, Zaha has demonstrated that he is still at the top of his game and is fully capable of making an immediate impact at Arsenal. HITC believes that the chance to play for the Gunners, compete for the Premier League title, and participate in the UEFA Champions League would greatly appeal to the Ivorian winger.
Arsenal knows that Zaha could instantly slot into their starting lineup. This knowledge, coupled with his impressive stats, makes him an attractive signing. Zaha has scored seven goals and provided two assists in his 25 Premier League appearances this season. In his career, he has racked up 68 goals and created 47 significant opportunities in 303 Premier League matches.
Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell previously referred to Zaha as “absolutely devastating” on The Highbury Squad podcast in August 2022. If Arsenal successfully signs him, he will be an excellent addition to the team. Although Zaha would command a high wage, the Gunners could count on him to hit the ground running.
