Are you looking for a unique opportunity to be part of the world’s biggest sporting event? The organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are looking for 45,000 volunteers to help make the Games a success. This is a great chance to go behind the scenes and experience the first French Olympic Games in a century.
Volunteering for the Paris Olympic Games is open to people from all over the world who speak English or French and are available for a minimum of 10 days during the Games. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of an historic event and to make a contribution to its success. According to Tony Estanguet, President of the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee, “Our volunteers will be at the heart of the biggest sporting event on the planet and will directly contribute to its success. The positive energy that the volunteers transmit is unique, and they will be the face of the Games.”
To be eligible to volunteer, you must be a citizen of the world over 18 years old. Non-EU citizens must have the appropriate visa to stay in France. The organizers are particularly interested in recruiting people with disabilities and have set an informal goal of having 3,000 disabled volunteers join the team.
Volunteers can choose from a variety of “missions,” from greeting people at airports to providing information at venues to collecting tennis balls. Although you won’t be guaranteed a free pass to any sporting event, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of the action and experience the Games in other ways. Local public transport will be free during volunteer days and you’ll be offered a food or drink voucher depending on the venue.
If you want to be part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, register to volunteer now. It’s a great way to have an unforgettable experience, make new friends from all over the world, and contribute to the success of the Games. Plus, you’ll have a unique story to tell for years to come!
