Shakira and Gerard Piqué are set to reunite in Miami on June 3, just one year after announcing their separation. In a statement released on June 4, 2020, the former couple explained that they were separating for the well-being of their children and asked for privacy. Recently, Piqué spent five days with their children in their new country of residence as agreed in their custody arrangement.
According to Jordi Martin, a collaborator of El Gordo y La Flaca, Piqué will attend an event at Miami Country Day where his children attend school and will meet with the singer-songwriter. He also revealed that Piqué will travel back to Catalonia with their children after the school’s end-of-year celebration on June 3, as 70% of the school holidays are entrusted to Piqué.
However, Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez, in their podcast ‘Mamarazzis’, announced that Piqué and Shakira still have not agreed on the rest period of their children. The couple has been making headlines lately due to rumors of infidelity and crisis that are reportedly affecting their relationship.
Despite the rumors, Piqué recently posted a photo on Instagram with his girlfriend, Clara Chía, making many fans speculate that it could be revenge against Shakira’s new song, ‘Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,’ where she throws darts at her ex and his current girlfriend. However, Piqué still has photos with Shakira and her children on his social media accounts, indicating that he still holds them in high regard.
