Elon Musk announces Twitter Blue with Zero Ads Option
Elon Musk, the President of Twitter, has recently-announced the relaunch of Twitter Blue with a top version that will not contain any ads.
Recently appointed president of Twitter, Elon Musk, has confirmed that the company is studying an upgrade to the present Twitter Blue placed where users will not see any advertisements. The existing Twitter Blue option still has occasional advertisements but Musk has admitted in a tweet that they still appear too frequently.
Musk also mentioned the possibility of including a fund for content creators that consistently upload tweets. He has shown an interest in recruiting content creators and will look into starting a fund for them in the future.
In order to make the app profitable, cost-cutting measures have been taken by lowering the privileges of the employees in the wake of a wave of layoffs. Twitter is also pricing its upgraded versions higher in order for it to make up for the lack of revenue from advertisement.
The new Following and For You columns present in the mobile versions will stay and more features are expected to be released soon. It is yet to be seen what Musk has planned for the heavy users of the app.
