John Wick 4 Premiere Honors Late Actor Lance Reddick
The world premiere of John Wick 4 was held in Hollywood recently, with stars of the film walking down the red carpet. Yet, many actors at the event also took a moment to remember actor Lance Reddick, who passed away earlier this year. Keanu Reeves, the lead actor in the film, praised the late actor, saying that having had the chance to work with him on the previous three films was “something very special to me.”
Laurence Fishburne, who also stars in John Wick 4, also spoke fondly of Reddick, calling him a mainstay in both the John Wick franchise and countless other works. Fishburne stated that they lost a brother, but they made sure to make a great movie in honor of him.
Reddick was not only a celebrated actor in films but also in video games, with his roles as Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Zavala in the Destiny franchise among his notable gaming roles. Upon news of his passing, Destiny players flocked to the game to pay tribute to Reddick’s iconic character. Reddick’s wife, Stephanie Reddick, released a statement thanking fans for their support and love, adding that her late husband “loved [the gamers] as much as he loved the game.”
John Wick 4 will hit theaters on March 24, 2023, and fans of the franchise as well as Reddick’s work are eagerly anticipating its release.
