Dog accidentally kills American hunter in Kansas
A tragic accident involving a dog in Kansas resulted in the death of a 30-year-old American hunter on Saturday. According to the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred when the animal was sitting in the back of the car where “hunting equipment and a rifle” were stored. During that time, the dog stepped on the rifle which caused a detonation and killed the victim who was in the passenger seat immediately.
After examining the incident, authorities determined that it was a hunting accident. They are still investigating the case and have not revealed whether or not the hunter owns the dog.
The United States has a large presence of firearms, especially in rural states. This was unfortunately made clear in this incident, making it a reminder of the importance of gun safety in the country.
