The Sanders family is expected to return to Colorado next season. Both Shedeur and Shilo Sanders are eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft, but their father and head coach at Colorado, Deion Sanders, indicated that they will be staying for another season. It is likely that the Sanders brothers will turn pro together in 2025.

Deion said in an interview with USA Today, “It’s up to us. We do things as a family, and my sons respect the heck out of me and my decision-making and getting them to where they desire to go. … It’s always been our dream that they’re going into the draft together, and we didn’t know how that would manifest itself with (the COVID-19 pandemic) and everything. It just so happened properly that they’re going in the same draft at the conclusion of next season.”

Shedeur had a successful season with 3,230 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also added four rushing touchdowns despite facing constant pressure due to an offensive line that struggled to protect him. Shedeur dealt with injuries throughout the season and suffered a fracture in his back at the end of the campaign. However, he is expected to be healed by the spring.

Deion is considering looking at “older quarterbacks” in the transfer portal as backups in case Shedeur gets hurt next season. He wants to ensure that they have someone who can step in and make it happen if something were to happen to Shedeur.

Shilo is coming off a solid season of his own with 54 tackles, four forced fumbles, one interception, and one pass breakup at safety. All eyes will be on the Buffaloes next season as Deion continues to put his stamp on the program in his second season at the helm.
