HBO Max Ends Titans and Doom Patrol, Goodbye to DC Universe Superheroic Era
Warner Bros. and DC’s superheroic purge continues with HBO Max, with the cancellation of the last two surviving series of the DC Universe television – ‘Titans’ and ‘Doom Patrol’.
After four seasons, fans have to say goodbye to two of DC’s most beloved series, especially ‘Doom Patrol’, with its quality and billing above the average for series based on DC Comics. This news comes in full commotion over the decisions made by James Gunn and Peter Safran, the new directors of the for DC cinematographic universe at the head of DC Studios.
It appears clear that the decision to put an end to ‘Domm Patrol’ and ‘Titans’ was taken before both entered the company, as HBO Max had already announced additional episodes for both shows at the end of last year.
The superb cast of ‘Doom Patrol’ was comprised of names like Brendan Fraser, Matt Bomer, April Bowlby, Diane Guerrero, Joivan Wade, and Michelle Gomez, while the ‘Titans’ featured names like Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, and Ryan Potter.
DC Universe was also the cradle of two other highly valued series such as ‘Stargirl’ and ‘Swamp Thing’.
Fans will have to wait for James Gunn’s new plan to find out about the next DC series for television and that should be part of his new superheroic cinematographic universe.
