Cage the Elephant’s “Neon Pill” marks their return after 5 years

News Team

Cage the Elephant fans, get ready to celebrate because the band is back with a brand new song called “Neon Pill.” It’s been five years since the group, led by Matt Shultz, took a break after releasing their 2019 album “Social Cues,” which won a Grammy for Best Rock Album. The new song was recorded at Sonic Ranch studios in Tornillo, Texas, with the help of producer John Hill.

Fans are eagerly awaiting to see if there will be a new album on the way, and all signs point to yes. “Neon Pill” is likely just the first taste of what’s to come. In the meantime, the band has already confirmed two performances for this year: at the Bonnaroo festival in June and at the Hangout Music Festival in May.

In January 2023, Shultz made headlines when he was arrested in New York City for possessing two illegally loaded handguns. He was charged with three counts of criminal possession of firearms. However, he was able to avoid jail time by signing a plea deal.
