Granit Xhaka Set For Move to Bayer Leverkusen
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Granit Xhaka is on the verge of leaving Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for Bayer Leverkusen. The reporter has claimed that the deal is almost agreed for the Switzerland international midfielder. Xhaka will reportedly play his final game for the Gunners this weekend.
Granit Xhaka – A Hero for Arsenal
Despite having issues with Arsenal fans, Granit Xhaka is leaving the club as a hero among the Emirates Stadium faithful. The Swiss star has established himself as one of the best and most important players for Arsenal, having made 36 appearances in the Premier League this season as well as scoring five goals and giving seven assists.
The Future of Arsenal
It is inevitable that all good things come to an end, and Xhaka’s departure will leave a gap that needs to be filled. With the midfielder turning 30, Arsenal should be looking to replace him with someone younger and better.
