Breaking news on the music scene – Bad Bunny and Blackpink are the rumored main acts for this year’s Coachella 2023. Paul Tollett, the organizer of the festival, has them in his sights, and according to a report from Hits Daily Double, the collaboration between the Puerto Rican trap-reggaeton singer and South Korean girl group could be in the works.
Bad Bunny has been on a roll lately, having released the album A Summer Without You, which was again listed as the best song of 2022 by TIME magazine. Meanwhile, Blackpink has also been making huge strides with their last album, Born Pink.
Other potential headliners like Dua Lipa, Rihanna, Olivia Rodrigo, and Justin Bieber have been ruled out, putting Bad Bunny and Blackpink in the frontrunner positions. Though an official announcement is yet to be made, the female quartet has plans to tour with the Born Pink World Tour and the reggaeton singer has recently announced her break from performance, leaving the door open for them being the next major acts forCoachella.
Whether or not it be the case, Blackpink is on track to become the first K-Pop group to headline the event, and it would bolster their already established status as one of the most popular K-Pop superstars in the world.
