Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Nominated for Five Awards at the Oscars

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forevertook the film world by storm in November 2022, despite the difficulties of reworking and rewriting the script surrounding the untimely death of its original lead actor, Chadwick Boseman.

The Ryan Coogler-directed flick has now been recognized for five awards at the Oscars, nominated alongside stars such as Rihanna, Tems and Ludwig Goransson for Best Song. Particularly noteworthy is the nomination of Angela Bassett as Best Supporting Actress, who plays Queen Ramonda in Wakanda Forever.

The other four nominations awarded to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever are Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Beat Song and Best Visual Effects. These include Tell It Like a Woman’s “Applause”, The Batman, Elvis, The Whale and Top Gun: Maverick.
